Deaf-Blind Community Access Network (DBCAN)

In Massachusetts, we have Deaf-Blind Community Access Network (DBCAN) This provides 16 hours of SSP services per month. DBCAN pays the SSP's to work with deaf-blind people. The person works as an SSP as their job. The problem is that 16 hours a month isn't enough time. I wish they could hire more SSPs. Then I could have an SSP for the entire week. Deaf-blind people need SSPs in order to live independently. My SSPs help me in many ways. They read my mail to me. They take me to appointments. They help me get around and do whatever I need to do.
