Calling All Interpreters

Gallaudet University is offering a Bachelors of Arts in Interpretation (BAI) Program. This program also offers classes in interpreting for deaf-blind individuals. Florida Deaf-Blind Awareness Week Festivities

Governor Charlie Crist of Florida has proclaimed June 21 - 27, 2009 as Helen Keller Deaf-Blind Awareness Week. The Florida Deaf-Blind Association will have an HKDBA Celebration on June 13th at Tabla's Bar and Grill in Orlando, FL. NCDBA Bowling 9 Pin Fundraising Event

The North Carolina Associates of the Deaf-Blind (NCDBA) is sponsoring a Bowling 9 Pins Fundraising Event on Saturday, Saturday, July 11, 2009 from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM. The location of this event is Pleasant Valley Bowling Lane, 5501 Commercial Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612. The deadline to register for this event is Friday, June 19. Orientation and Mobility Workshop (Correction)

The orientation and mobility workshop offered by Helen Keller National Center (HKNC) on September 20 to 25, 2009 is designed for professionals working with deaf-blind travelers only, and who are teaching or supervising others in their field. The workshop is open to Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialists (COMS), Nationally Certified Cane Instructors (NOMC), agency-trained mobility instructors with 5 years of experience and previous supervision under a certified specialist, and dog guide trainers.
